Chief Engineer; SAN infrastructure & Data Protection platform

Job Description

U.S. Bank is seeking a motivated Chief Engineer with strong leadership abilities to contribute toward the success of our technology initiatives. Provides a combination of technical and business leadership while being the primary trusted and capable owner of one or more high priority, high visibility, complex focused initiatives that typically cross multiple technology and business line areas. Will typically have a small number of direct reports (e.g., an architect, systems analyst, etc.)

and provide guidance to a larger community including affected systems, program management, and test leadership.

Provideseniortechnicalleadershipandstrategicdirectionfor Enterprise Storage Architecture , SAN Infrastructure , NAS Platforms ,and Data Protection Technologies supportingcriticalbusinessoperations.

Defineandmaintainenterprisearchitecturestandards,engineeringroadmaps,andtechnologystrategiesforstorage,data protection,andinfrastructureresiliencyplatforms.

Leadthedesign,implementation,andoptimizationoflarge-scale Dell Power Max , Net App ,andassociatedenterprisestorageenvironments.

Providearchitecturalleadershipfor Brocade and Cisco SAN Fabric infrastructure,ensuring scalability,performance,availability,andoperationalstability.

Serveasthehighest-leveltechnicalescalationpointforcomplexstorage,SAN,replication,backup,recovery,andinfrastructureissues.

Drivestorageplatformlifecyclemanagement,modernizationinitiatives,hardwarerefreshprograms,andstrategicmigrationeffortsacrossenterpriseenvironments.

Partnerwithinfrastructure,security,operations,cloud,andapplicationteamstoensurerecoveryreadiness,business continuity,cyberresiliency,anddisasterrecoveryobjectivesareachieved.

Establishengineeringstandards,operationalbestpractices,andgovernanceprocessestoensurelong-termviability,reliability,andsupportabilityofstorageanddataprotectionplatforms.

Bachelor's degree in business, MIS, engineering, computer science, mathematics, any science, or equivalent work experience

Eight or more years of experience in delivering software-based solutions

Expertknowledgeof Enterprise Storage Architecture ,including design,implementation,andsupportoflarge-scalemission-criticalstorageenvironments.

Advancedexperiencewith Dell Power Max enterprisestorageplatforms,includingperformanceoptimization,replication,provisioning,andlifecyclemanagement.

Expertise in Ever Pure storagetechnologieswithinlarge-scaleenterpriseenvironments

Deepexpertisein Brocade SAN Fabrics , Cisco SAN Infrastructure ,Fibre Channelnetworking,zoning,fabricdesign,troubleshooting,andcapacityplanning.

Strongexperiencewith Net App Storage Platforms ,includingNASarchitecture,storageadministration,data management,andoperationalsupport.

Hands-onexpertisewith Data Protection Technologies ,including Cohesity , Data Domain ,backup,recovery,replication,anddisasterrecoverysolutions.

Experiencesupportingandengineering ECS (Elastic Cloud Storage) .

Strongunderstandingof operational resiliency , business continuity , recovery readiness ,cyberrecovery,disasterrecoveryplanning,andinfrastructureriskmanagement.

Provenabilitytoprovidetechnicalleadershipforenterprisemodernizationinitiatives,platformmigrations,engineeringgovernance,andlong-terminfrastructurestrategy.

This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.
