We are seeking a highly organized, certified Jr Azure Data Engineer with 3 to 4 years of hands-on technical experience to coordinate, validate, and maintain data pipeline integrity and disaster recovery (DR) testing cycles across a large portfolio of cloud-hosted applications. As our organization prepares for a major enterprise cloud migration over the next 12 to 24 months, this role will serve as a crucial technical bridge between legacy data structures and modern Azure architecture.
This position operates within a fast-paced, structured, and repeatable framework. Rather than managing heavy, traditional project documentation, you will function as a nimble, technical data coordinator. You will personally oversee a portfolio of 20 to 30 individual Azure cloud applications and data structures—driving each independent testing, validation, and resiliency cycle from initial environment scheduling through data pipeline execution and final sign-off.
Key ResponsibilitiesData & Testing Coordination: Manage and coordinate the end-to-end disaster recovery and data resiliency testing cycles for 20 to 30 cloud applications, ensuring all data activities are executed, logged, and tracked per program guidelines.
Cloud Migration Support: Leverage technical Azure expertise to evaluate application architectures and data structures in preparation for our upcoming multi-year enterprise cloud migration.
Stakeholder Partnership: Serve as the central technical point of contact for application owners, cloud data engineering teams, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and business partners to establish clear testing windows and success criteria.
Technical Meeting Facilitation: Lead data test planning sessions, readiness reviews, live execution bridge calls, and post-testing retrospectives.
Compliance & Evidence Tracking: Collect and track technical testing evidence, data pipeline documentation, action plans, and regulatory readiness data to ensure complete organizational compliance.
Dashboards & Inventory Management: Maintain an accurate cloud application inventory, dataset metrics, and active program reporting dashboards across multiple concurrent execution cycles.
Issue Resolution: Drive cross-functional coordination to resolve scheduling conflicts, resource bottlenecks, and complex technical dependency impacts.
Qualifications & Core RequirementsRequired Certifications (Mandatory): Candidates MUST hold active certifications in:
Experience: 3 to 4 years of hands-on IT, Data, or Technical Systems experience operating in a Junior Data Engineer, Technical Analyst, or Cloud Administrator capacity.
Cloud & Azure Technical Depth: Demonstrated technical knowledge of Azure cloud architecture, identity management, storage, networking, and modern data pipelines. Must be able to speak the language of cloud architects and data engineers fluently.
Superb Organizational Acumen: A structured, detail-oriented mindset with the ability to manage 20 to 30 distinct, concurrent application data timelines simultaneously.
Excellent Communication: Strong verbal and written skills to coordinate across distributed teams, facilitate live technical bridge calls, and report data statuses clearly to leadership.
Adaptable & Process-Driven: Comfort navigating a high-volume, repeatable execution framework where technical consistency, data integrity, and strict timelines are key.
