The Marine Corps Intelligence Activity (MCIA) delivers intelligence to inform policy makers, the force development enterprise, and warfighters in order to enable success in the current and future operating environment. What if you could use your Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) expertise to assist those efforts?

The successful Junior Open Source Analyst on our team will conduct all-source analytic production on sources and products of information available from public, private, and U.S. and foreign Government open source materials within established security protocols. You will analyze foreign and domestic-based publicly available information to identify trends, patterns, and relationships that provide unique insights to address defense intelligence requirements.

You Have:

  • Active TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field
  • Completed a joint-accredited OSINT course. Joint-accredited OSINT courses include but are not limited to: EOSINT (USMC), OS301 and OS302 (Army), ONI OSINT Fundamentals Course (Navy), Introduction to OSINT (USAF), DIA BOTC (DIA), NGA OSINT Course (NGA), NERD (SOCOM). Commercial alternatives to a joint-accredited OSINT course include but are not limited to: CASO (Black Horse Solutions), and SEC 497 and SEC 587 (SANS Institute)
  • 3+ years' experience
  • Knowledge of and ability to apply Intelligence Community (IC) and DoD classification guidelines and procedures.
  • Ability to work semi-independently with oversight and direction.
  • Ability to use logic when evaluating and synthesizing multiple sources of information.
  • Understanding of interpreting analysis to include, but not limited to, its meaning, importance, and implications.
  • Ability to defend analytic judgements with sound, logical conclusions and adapt analytic judgments when presented with new information, evolving conditions, or unexpected developments.

  • Ability to communicate understanding from information that may be incomplete, indirect, highly complex, seemingly unrelated, and / or technically advanced.
  • Ability to structure analysis based on trends in reporting and a range of analytic perspectives from other analysts, organizations, and intelligence disciplines.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight and direction.
  • Ability to collaborate and work with other IC members on information sharing, driving collection, and addressing analytic disputes and conflict resolution.
