Technical Product Manager (Robotics and Automation)

$100,000 to $140,000 + Relocation Assistance + Benefits + PTO + 401(k)

Hybrid On-Site - Charlotte, North Carolina

Are you a hands-on technical professional with real-world experience taking a product or piece of equipment through development and implementation, looking for a newly created role bridging engineering, product, and the customer?

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing robotics and automation operation in a highly technical, hands-on Product Manager role supporting the rollout and commercialization of a technical product. This is not a traditional marketing-focused Product Manager position.

Working closely with engineering and technical teams, you will own the product and its implementation with customers, from understanding how the base product needs to be customized for a customer's environment through to leading installation, rollout, and training.

This role would suit someone with a strong technical background who has genuinely worked hands-on with equipment and engineering teams, rather than someone whose Product Manager experience is primarily in marketing, pricing, or go-to-market strategy.

The Role:
  • Take ownership of the product and its implementation with customers
  • Partner with engineering teams on product development and customer-specific modifications
  • Work directly with customers to understand their application and required customizations
  • Lead implementation and rollout, including installation and customer training
  • Be onsite and hands-on with equipment during implementations
The Candidate:
  • Technical bachelor's or associate degree in electrical, electronics, mechanical, software, computer science, or similar field
  • Real-world experience taking a technical product or piece of equipment through development and implementation
  • Direct experience working with engineering teams and hands-on experience with equipment
  • Customer-facing implementation and training experience
  • Strong communication skills, comfortable bridging engineering, customers, and management
