Artifactory Administrator / Dev Ops Engineer
Profile TypeArtifactory Administrator / Dev Ops Engineer
The team is looking for a hands-on Dev Ops Engineer with strong JFrog Artifactory administration and engineering experience to support enterprise artifact management, CI/CD pipelines, and Dev Ops automation. This person will manage and troubleshoot Artifactory environments while working closely with development, infrastructure, and release teams to ensure reliable software delivery.
What They'll Do- Administer, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot JFrog Artifactory in a large enterprise environment.
- Manage local, remote, and virtual repositories for software packages and application artifacts.
- Configure repository permissions, users, groups, access controls, and artifact retention policies.
- Support artifact promotion, versioning, cleanup, replication, and lifecycle management.
- Integrate Artifactory with CI/CD pipelines and automated software delivery processes.
- Work with tools such as Jenkins, Git Lab, Git Hub Actions, Azure Dev Ops
, or similar CI/CD platforms. - Troubleshoot artifact upload/download issues, repository failures, authentication problems, and pipeline integration issues.
- Automate Dev Ops processes using Python, Groovy, Bash, or Power Shell
. - Support infrastructure and application deployments across cloud and/or on-premises environments.
- Monitor Artifactory performance, availability, storage utilization, and system health.
- Participate in upgrades, patching, configuration changes, and environment migrations.
- Implement and maintain Artifactory high availability, backup, disaster recovery, and resiliency processes.
- Collaborate with development teams to establish artifact management standards and best practices.
- Troubleshoot production issues and participate in incident, problem, and change management.
- 5+ years of Dev Ops / infrastructure engineering experience.
- 3+ years of hands-on JFrog Artifactory administration/engineering.
- Strong experience administering JFrog Artifactory repositories, permissions, users, groups, and configurations
. - Experience integrating Artifactory with CI/CD pipelines
. - Strong understanding of artifact/package management and software release processes.
- Hands-on experience with Jenkins or another enterprise CI/CD platform
. - Strong Linux/Unix administration and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with scripting/automation using Python, Groovy, Bash, or Power Shell
. - Strong Git experience and understanding of source control workflows.
- Experience troubleshooting production Dev Ops issues in an enterprise environment.
- Experience with JFrog Artifactory HA and/or federated repositories.
- Docker/container registry experience.
- Terraform or Ansible.
- Experience with Maven, Gradle, npm, PyPI, NuGet, Helm, or other package repositories.
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, Grafana, or Prometheus
. - Experience with enterprise problem management, root-cause analysis, and production support.
