Work Arrangement: Hybrid - 3 Days Onsite Per Week

Position Overview

Our client is seeking a Senior Oracle Database Administrator (Oracle DBA) with 10+ years of Oracle DBA experience and strong expertise in Oracle Golden Gate and multi-master replication. This role will support multiple new and ongoing database projects and will be responsible for database design, replication, performance tuning, backup and recovery, upgrades, troubleshooting, and proactive production database support.

The ideal candidate will be a senior-level Oracle DBA with 6+ years of hands-on Oracle Golden Gate experience
, including implementation, monitoring, troubleshooting, and management of multi-master replication environments

Key Responsibilities

Perform all aspects of Oracle database administration
, including design, installation, configuration, upgrades, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Design, implement, monitor, and troubleshoot Oracle Golden Gate multi-master replication environments.
Work with both Classic Replicat and Integrated Replicat configurations.
Perform database performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and tuning
.
Provide production database backup, restore, and recovery support.
Support high availability and disaster recovery solutions for production databases.
Monitor and proactively maintain production Oracle databases to maximize availability and performance.
Identify, troubleshoot, resolve, and communicate issues impacting databases, servers, and related products.
Develop and maintain Linux shell scripts to automate database administration and operational tasks.
Perform Oracle software installations, upgrades, patches, and configuration changes.
Administer database users, roles, permissions, and security in accordance with enterprise security guidelines.
Partner with infrastructure, operations, and other technology teams to maximize system availability and reliability.
Create and maintain production documentation, including policies, procedures, server configurations, error logs, maintenance records, and troubleshooting instructions.
Support multiple database projects and provide senior-level technical expertise as new initiatives are introduced.

Required Qualifications

10+ years of Oracle DBA experience in enterprise production environments.
6+ years of hands-on Oracle Golden Gate experience

Strong experience implementing, managing, monitoring, and troubleshooting Oracle Golden Gate
.
Hands-on experience with multi-master replication
.
Experience with Classic Replicat and Integrated Replicat
.
Strong Oracle performance tuning and troubleshooting experience.
Experience with Oracle database backup, restore, and recovery.
Strong understanding of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) concepts and solutions.
Experience with Linux/Unix shell scripting
.
Experience supporting production databases in large, complex environments.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently, take ownership, and proactively address production issues.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Oracle database upgrades and migrations.
Experience partnering with infrastructure and operations teams.
Experience creating and maintaining detailed technical and production documentation.
