Informatica IDMC Platform Operations and Engineer (3 Open position) Location :
Charlotte, NC (Hybrid) Contract
Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Informatica Platform Operations and Engineer to manage, engineer, secure, and support enterprise Informatica platforms. The role requires strong hands-on knowledge of Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud, or IDMC, including its Cloud Data Integration capabilities and the cloud-based successor technologies used for enterprise data integration. IDMC provides services for building mappings, tasks, and taskflows, while its administrative capabilities include user and privilege management, Secure Agent and runtime environment configuration, connections, licenses, and schedules.
The engineer will be responsible for platform administration, environment reliability, security compliance, cloud migration, operational support, automation, monitoring, upgrades, and engineering improvements. The role will work closely with Application Security, Infrastructure, Cloud Engineering, Data Engineering, Architecture, IAM, Dev Ops, and Production Support teams.
Key Responsibilities Informatica IDMC Platform Engineering Engineer, administer, configure, and support enterprise Informatica IDMC environments. Support Informatica Cloud Data Integration services, including mappings, mapping tasks, taskflows, schedules, connections, and runtime environments. Install, configure, manage, patch, and troubleshoot Informatica Secure Agents and Secure Agent groups. Support IDMC runtime environments across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid infrastructure. Configure and maintain connections to databases, cloud data platforms, applications, APIs, file systems, and other enterprise data sources.
Manage platform configurations across development, testing, UAT, pre-production, disaster recovery, and production environments. Participate in the migration and modernization of Informatica Power Center workloads to IDMC and Cloud Data Integration. Support CIBDC/CDI Advanced or equivalent cloud-native Informatica data integration capabilities. Evaluate platform enhancements and implement reusable engineering standards, configuration patterns, and operational controls. Platform Operations and Production Support Monitor the health, availability, capacity, performance, and utilization of Informatica platform services.
Troubleshoot failed workflows, mappings, tasks, taskflows, connections, agent services, and runtime environment issues. Analyze platform logs and operational alerts to identify root causes and restore services. Provide production support and serve as an escalation point for complex Informatica platform incidents. Lead incident triage, problem management, root cause analysis, and preventive remediation. Develop and maintain operational dashboards, alerts, health checks, and platform availability reports.
Participate in release, change, incident, problem, and configuration management processes. Support production deployments, maintenance activities, disaster recovery exercises, and environment validation. Create and maintain support documentation, knowledge articles, operating procedures, architecture diagrams, and recovery runbooks. Internal CCIBT platform-support materials emphasize production monitoring, deployments, vulnerability remediation, security patching, operational documentation, and alignment with IT service-management processes. Application Security and Access Management Partner with the Application Security team to implement secure platform configurations and operational controls.
Administer IDMC users, user groups, roles, privileges, permissions, and project-level access. Implement and support role-based access control and least-privilege access principles. Integrate the platform with enterprise authentication, authorization, and identity-management services. Perform periodic access reviews and assist with the remediation of inappropriate or outdated access. Manage service accounts, technical accounts, credentials, certificates, secrets, and connection security in accordance with enterprise policies.
Support vulnerability remediation, security patching, certificate renewal, credential rotation, and platform hardening. Provide technical evidence and platform documentation for security reviews, risk assessments, and audit requests.
