We are looking for a highly skilled QA Automation Test Architect to lead the design and implementation of enterprise-grade test automation solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for defining automation strategies, building scalable automation frameworks, integrating testing into CI/CD pipelines, and driving quality engineering best practices across multiple applications and platforms.
Additional Information*
The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Charlotte, NC is $100k - $115k/year & benefits (see below).
TheRole Responsibilities:
- Define and implement the overall test automation strategy and roadmap.
- Design, develop, and maintain reusable and scalable automation frameworks for web, API, mobile, and backend applications.
- Evaluate and recommend automation tools, technologies, and best practices.
- Establish automation standards, coding guidelines, and governance processes.
- Collaborate with Development, Dev Ops, Product Management, and QA teams to ensure high-quality software delivery.
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.
- Lead automation efforts for functional, regression, integration, end-to-end, and performance testing.
- Drive shift-left testing practices and quality engineering initiatives.
- Analyze test coverage, automation effectiveness, and quality metrics.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to automation engineers.
- Participate in solution architecture discussions and identify quality risks early in the SDL.
- Strong expertise in Selenium Web Driver, Playwright, Cypress, or equivalent automation tools.
- Experience designing hybrid, data-driven, keyword-driven, and BDD automation frameworks.
- Hands-on experience in API automation using REST Assured, Postman, Karate, or similar tools.
- Experience with mobile automation using Appium.
- QA/Test Automation experience with strong experience as an Automation Architect or Test Architect.
- Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, Agile, Scrum, and Dev Ops methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
