Job Description & How to Apply Below

A respected, growth-oriented law firm with a strong presence in the Southeast is seeking a Senior Commercial Real Estate Attorney for its Charlotte office.

This is a high-impact role with long-term leadership and potential succession opportunity within a well-established real estate practice.

This position is ideal for a senior attorney who enjoys handling sophisticated commercial real estate transactions while also stepping into a visible, relationship-driven role within the firm and the market.

The practice includes a mix of developers, investors, lenders, and commercial property owners across retail, office, industrial, and mixed-use assets.

There is a clear path for the right attorney to grow into a leadership position within the practice over time.

  • Lead complex commercial real estate transactions from term sheet through closing

  • Draft and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, leases, development agreements, and financing documents

  • Advise clients on acquisitions, dispositions, financing, and development matters

  • Structure and negotiate sophisticated contracts across asset classes

  • Work directly with clients, lenders, and opposing counsel to move transactions efficiently

  • Collaborate with corporate, tax, and land use teams as needed

Qualifications
  • 10+ years of commercial real estate transactional experience

  • Strong contract drafting and negotiation background

  • Ability to independently manage transactions

  • Experience handling high-value and complex matters

  • Portable business not required; some client relationships welcomed

What you Gain
  • Established, respected platform in Charlotte

  • Strong existing client base and deal flow

  • Potential succession opportunity within the practice

  • Collaborative firm culture with real leadership access

  • Compensation is commensurate with experience

This opportunity is well-suited for a senior real estate attorney seeking both sophisticated work and a long-term platform for leadership growth in the Charlotte market.
