A respected, growth-oriented law firm with a strong presence in the Southeast is seeking a Senior Commercial Real Estate Attorney for its Charlotte office.
This is a high-impact role with long-term leadership and potential succession opportunity within a well-established real estate practice.
This position is ideal for a senior attorney who enjoys handling sophisticated commercial real estate transactions while also stepping into a visible, relationship-driven role within the firm and the market.
The practice includes a mix of developers, investors, lenders, and commercial property owners across retail, office, industrial, and mixed-use assets.
There is a clear path for the right attorney to grow into a leadership position within the practice over time.
Lead complex commercial real estate transactions from term sheet through closing
Draft and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, leases, development agreements, and financing documents
Advise clients on acquisitions, dispositions, financing, and development matters
Structure and negotiate sophisticated contracts across asset classes
Work directly with clients, lenders, and opposing counsel to move transactions efficiently
Collaborate with corporate, tax, and land use teams as needed
10+ years of commercial real estate transactional experience
Strong contract drafting and negotiation background
Ability to independently manage transactions
Experience handling high-value and complex matters
Portable business not required; some client relationships welcomed
Established, respected platform in Charlotte
Strong existing client base and deal flow
Potential succession opportunity within the practice
