Paralegal

Description

We are looking for an experienced Paralegal to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina. In this role, you will provide essential support for insurance defense cases, ensuring all legal processes run smoothly. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil litigation and trial preparation, with excellent case management skills and a paralegal certificate.

Responsibilities:

- Assist attorneys with discovery processes, including gathering and organizing relevant documents.

- Conduct legal research to support case development and strategy.

- Prepare and manage case files, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up to date.

- Coordinate trial preparation activities, including witness communication and evidence compilation.

- Monitor deadlines and ensure compliance with court requirements and procedural rules.

- Draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and correspondence.

- Utilize case management software to track case progress and maintain records.

- Maintain communication with clients, keeping them informed about case updates and progress.

- Collaborate with team members to facilitate efficient workflow and task management.

- Provide administrative support as needed to ensure smooth operations within the legal team.

Requirements

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a paralegal role in insurance defense or civil litigation.

- Proficiency in discovery processes and trial preparation.

- Strong knowledge of civil litigation procedures and court rules.

- Experience using case management software to organize and track case progress.

- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to work collaboratively within a legal team and communicate effectively.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Paralegal certification REQUIRED.
