• Bachelor's degree, or associate's degree in paralegal studies
• 3+ years' as Litigation Legal Assistant or Paralegal
• Paralegal certification in North Carolina preferred
• Notary certification in North Carolina or ability to become one
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and case management software

• Strong interpersonal skills including ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with a variety of contacts, including outside attorneys and co-workers
• Strong research, analytical, and investigative skills; ability to document and present findings in a clear and concise manner
• Make sound judgments, and flexibility/adaptability to prioritize, organize, manage, and complete time-sensitive matters
• Strong written and oral communication, analytical and organizational skills
• Motivated and capable of working independently and in a collaborative environment
• Must be able to handle confidential, privileged, and/or sensitive information with care and sensitivity
• Ability to make sound decisions and exercise independent judgement and discretion with integrity and accountability
• Clearly and concisely communicate ideas and facts with others
