About the Role

JELD-WEN is currently seeking a Supply Chain Coordinator to join our growing team. The Supply Chain Coordinator / Indirect Materials Buyer provides operational and transactional support to the Supply Chain team while owning primarily the procurement and management of indirect materials required to support manufacturing and operations. This role plays a critical support function to the Senior Supply Chain Specialists, helping ensure smooth execution, accurate transactions, and timely material availability.

The Supply Chain Coordinator builds foundational experience in purchasing, inventory systems, supplier coordination, and cross‑functional support, with a clear growth path toward a future Supply Chain Specialist position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Purchase and manage indirect materials and supplies required to support manufacturing, maintenance, and operations.
  • Maintain appropriate stocking levels for indirect materials to prevent operational disruptions.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to understand demand, prioritize needs, and resolve shortages.
  • Manage supplier communication, order placement, expediting, and issue resolution for indirect purchases.
  • Provide day‑to‑day transactional and analytical support to Senior Supply Chain Specialists.
  • Assist with material planning activities, order follow‑ups, and exception handling as directed.
  • Support inventory accuracy by ensuring timely and correct ERP transactions related to receipts.
  • Help prepare and validate data related to inventory, material availability, and supplier performance.
  • Execute purchasing and inventory transactions accurately within ERP systems.
  • Maintain item master data, pricing, and supplier records for indirect materials.
  • Develop working knowledge of ERP planning, purchasing, and inventory modules to support senior team members.
  • Assist with reporting and basic analysis to improve visibility and execution.
  • Support cycle counts execution and reconciliation activities.
  • Assist with investigation of variances and documentation of findings.
  • Participate in quarterly physical inventory preparation.
  • Work closely with Warehouse, Maintenance, Production, and Purchasing teams to support material flow and issue resolution.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with teams and suppliers.
  • Escalate issues appropriately.
  • Learn and follow established supply chain, purchasing, and inventory control processes.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and bring observations to the senior team.
  • Participate in improvement initiatives led by leadership.
  • Build foundational supply chain knowledge across purchasing, inventory, and production support.
  • Develop problem‑solving, data analysis, and system proficiency skills.
  • Demonstrate readiness over time to assume broader responsibility consistent with a future Supply Chain Specialist role.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or relevant coursework.
  • 1–3 years of experience in purchasing, supply chain, inventory, or a related operational role.
  • Basic familiarity with ERP systems or ability to learn quickly.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic data tracking tools.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Salary

Expected pay for this role is between $20.48 to $30.77 per hour and is based on experience and qualifications.
