About This RoleThis position oversees key elements of supply chain strategy, developing supplier standards and networks to support organizational goals for price, quality, timing, and reliability. It establishes strategies for supplier selection, negotiations, and contract awards, while partnering with internal clients to identify sourcing needs and recommend optimal supply markets.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement supplier standards and networks aligned with corporate pricing, quality, timing, and reliability targets.
- Establish and execute strategy for supplier selection, negotiations, and awards contracts, including spending limits and qualified source requirements.
- Approve supplier selections that meet organizational standards.
- Lead negotiations, analyze supplier operations, and determine cost drivers to achieve lowest cost in line with quality and delivery expectations.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams in engineering, operations, quality, and finance to align sourcing strategies.
- Review and recommend supply markets and sourcing best practices.
- Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of experience in direct materials strategic sourcing.
- Ability to travel up to 20% of the time (internationally as needed).
- Strong experience in CSA category management, specifically with control boxes.
- Demonstrated success in global strategic sourcing, supplier development, and long‑term contract negotiations within a manufacturing environment.
- Advanced analytical skills for cost modeling, total cost of ownership (TCO) analysis, and market benchmarking.
- Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams and influence stakeholders across engineering, operations, quality, and finance.
- Experience managing global supplier networks, including capacity planning, risk mitigation, and production footprint optimization.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) and strong knowledge of supply chain best practices, including supplier performance management and continuous improvement methodologies (Lean/Six Sigma certification preferred).
The annual salary for this position is between $96,000.00 – $, with factors such as skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications influencing the final offer.
