We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Service/Parts Advisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in procuring and managing heavy-duty parts for technicians, ensuring efficient operations and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Determine and obtain heavy-duty parts for technicians as requested by phone or in person.
Locate and retrieve ordered parts from the part suppliers or dealership for technicians.
Open WO as needed.
Close WO when required.
Handle warranty or defective parts following company procedures.
Create PO to obtain the parts needed.
Receive the part into inventory (Close the PO)
Charge/Scan parts to the correct WO.Process approved credits for returned parts.
Pull all parts from pick tickets and deliver them to technicians.
Conduct bin counts weekly. Making sure values are correct with no overages or shortages. Inventory is this person’s responsibility.
Put up stock daily.
Keep parts warehouse secure at all times.
Maintain and clean warehouse and parts bins.
Prepare and ship core back to vendors.
Locate and assign new parts locations daily.
Maintain slow moving inventory to a zero-percentage rate.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of parts area.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in parts management or inventory control preferred.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in using computer systems and inventory management software.
Heavy Duty parts or mechanical experience preferred.
CDL Preferred Carrer Path Position can lead into a technician.
Possible lead technician.
Possible Service Manager.
EDUCATION High School diploma or equivalent.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Valid Driver’s License Class B CDL preferred.
Safety shoes are required on day one of employment. Employees must wear approved safety footwear at all times while working in designated shop and service areas
- Background screening is a mandatory prerequisite for employment consideration.
