Position: Sourcing Consultant 2 - Contingent

Our client, a leader in the hospitality and corporate event industry, is seeking a dedicated and proactive Sourcing Consultant 2 - Contingent to join their dynamic team. As a vital member of the sourcing and procurement department, you will support the organization in managing venue sourcing, supplier negotiations, and contracting activities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, effective communication, and a proactive approach, aligning seamlessly with the company's commitment to excellence and diversity.

Charlotte, NC (On-site, with a minimum commitment of 4 days per week)

What’s the Job?
  • Support corporate meeting and event venue sourcing, ensuring alignment with organizational needs and policies.
  • Manage multiple sourcing and contracting assignments simultaneously, prioritizing tasks effectively.
  • Use Cvent and other venue-sourcing tools to conduct searches, issue RFPs, evaluate proposals, and communicate with suppliers.
  • Negotiate supplier agreements, including rates, concessions, cancellation policies, and attrition clauses.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure seamless event execution and sourcing activities.
What’s Needed?
  • Minimum of 3+ years of professional experience in corporate meeting and event planning, venue sourcing, or related fields.
  • Hands‑on experience with Cvent or similar venue-sourcing technology for RFP management and sourcing activities.
  • Proficiency in managing multiple sourcing projects with strong prioritization skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience in the hospitality industry, including meetings, events, hotel sales, or catering services.
