Russell Tobin's client, a world leader in heating, air-conditioning and refrigeration solutions company, is hiring a Procurement Associate in Charlotte, NC.

Pay Rate: $24 - $26.54 per hour
About the RoleWe are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Procurement Associate to support supplier management, procurement administration, and supplier negotiations. In this role, you will help develop sourcing strategies, strengthen supplier relationships, optimize costs, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a reliable and efficient supply chain. This is an excellent opportunity for a procurement professional with experience in sourcing, supplier management, and aftermarket operations within a global organization.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute category strategies for aftermarket parts aligned with business and procurement objectives
- Conduct market research to identify sourcing opportunities, emerging trends, and potential supply chain risks
- Identify, evaluate, onboard, and manage supplier relationships to ensure quality, competitive pricing, and reliable delivery
- Lead supplier negotiations and manage commercial agreements to achieve favorable pricing and contract terms
- Drive cost optimization initiatives while maintaining quality and supply continuity
- Collaborate with Planning, Supply Chain, Engineering, Product Development, Quality, and Operations teams to support business objectives
- Monitor supplier performance through key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement improvement initiatives where needed
- Support cross-functional sourcing activities and contribute to continuous process improvements
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to achieve procurement goals
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Supply Chain or Sourcing within a large, international organization, preferably in the aftermarket or resale industry
- At least 3 years of advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
- Minimum 2 years of experience using SAP and Power BI
- Willingness and ability to travel within North America up to 20%, with occasional international travel
- Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal
- Master's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline
- 3+ years of experience in aftermarket sourcing or supply chain management
- Proven success in strategic sourcing, supplier optimization, contract negotiations, and cost reduction initiatives
- Strong analytical and market research skills with the ability to identify opportunities and mitigate supply chain risks
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong presentation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across multiple levels
- Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing certification is an advantage
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, global environment
- A proactive approach to supplier relationship management and continuous improvement
- Results-driven mindset with a focus on operational excellence and value creation
