We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Senior Procurement Manager to lead sourcing and procurement activities in support of Carrier's Data Center initiatives within the Climate Solutions Americas (CSA) supply chain organization.
The Senior Procurement Manager will lead both strategic and tactical sourcing activities across the full procurement lifecycle, ensuring a seamless transition to factory Purchasing and Materials teams. This role will drive global headquarters sourcing strategies, support global platform commonality across Europe and Asia, and build strong supplier partnerships to improve supply chain resiliency, cost performance, and sourcing effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of 3-4 sourcing specialists responsible for assigned commodities.
- Represent Supply Chain on the global platform management team, influencing program scope to leverage global sourcing strategies and preferred suppliers.
- Deliver cost targets, program launch milestones, and platform performance metrics.
- Integrate global category strategies with program deliverables to support sourcing alignment and execution.
- Drive standard work across sourcing processes, including procurement plans, RFQs, sample part procurement, supplier and part qualification, and transition to factory sustaining teams.
- Identify and evaluate suppliers for materials and components, using quantitative supplier selection methods to support new product launches.
- Support sourcing leads in supplier negotiations, contract development, policy formulation, inventory stocking agreements, and supplier execution to meet market lead-time requirements, program milestones, and production launch needs.
- Advance commodity strategy goals, including cost reduction and Days Payable Outstanding improvement.
- Develop regional and alternate qualified sources to strengthen supply chain resilience.
- Partner cross-functionally with Supplier Readiness and Supplier Development teams to ensure supplier capacity supports rapid Data Center growth.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 8+ years of purchasing, supply chain, or operations experience within industrial manufacturing
Preferred Qualifications
- HVAC industry experience
- Material Requirements Planning (MRP), inventory management, factory assembly processes and bills of material
- Energetic and success driven
- English verbal and written communications skills
- Ability to be persuasive and make management presentations
- Succeed in the day-to-day management of competing priorities
- Technical knowledge / understanding of the commercial HVAC product industry or ability to learn expeditiously
- Organized with attention to detail, follow-up and follow-through skills
- Advanced quantitative spreadsheet analysis skills to organize and analyze data efficiently
Pay Range
The annual salary for this position is between $ - $ annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.
Other Compensation
This position is entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
