The Service Parts & Accessories Category Manager is responsible for service parts and accessories supporting finished goods, ensuring long‑term delivery, quality and cost improvements throughout the product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities- Build and maintain commercial relationships with suppliers to secure targeted delivery performance, cost, quality, and sustainability.
- Develop and implement cost‑efficient sourcing strategies and agreements that fulfill supply requirements.
- Manage the entire supplier agreement process from submission to legal approval and monitor expiration alerts.
- Drive supplier performance using scorecards, metrics, and regular report‑outs.
- Identify and pursue performance improvement and cost‑reduction opportunities through demand, spend, cost, and market analysis.
- Conduct structured tendering and negotiations, segment suppliers, and manage relationships to drive supplier development and integration.
- Collaborate with planning to identify critical supply needs and engage suppliers accordingly.
- Manage purchase pricing and conduct annual price negotiations or as needed.
- Ensure parts availability according to lifecycle policy and supplier agreements.
- Enforce supplier agreements, terms sheets, and packaging requirements.
- Work with R&D to establish and maintain dual sourcing.
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration or related field;
Master’s degree and recognized purchasing/sourcing certification preferred. - Minimum 5 years of purchasing/sourcing experience, preferably in commodity management; experience sourcing components from LCC suppliers preferred.
- Experience in high‑volume, fast‑paced manufacturing environment preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of the after‑sales purchasing environment and ability to analyze procurement issues, recommend solutions and implement changes.
- Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing methodology, fact‑based negotiations, and cross‑functional collaboration.
- Proficiency as a supplier relationship manager, including development, integration and risk mitigation.
- Strong negotiation skills, with understanding of legal terms and conditions.
- Strong analytical skills, capable of synthesizing and communicating market and competitive data.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of proprietary company information.
- Ability to travel up to 10% domestically or internationally as required.
- Position requires minimum of 4 days per week in the Charlotte, NC office.
