Purchasing Specialist

Position: Purchasing Specialist I
Job Overview:
Pay Range: $39.00hr - $40.00hr Requirement/Must Have: 1-3 years of experience in purchasing or a related field. Knowledge of purchasing policies and procedures. Experience reviewing and analyzing purchase requisitions. Ability to investigate and develop sources of supplies. Experience issuing bid requests and preparing bid specifications. Ability to analyze bids, quotes, and proposals. Responsibilities:
Purchase materials, equipment, supplies, and services of a specialized or complex nature in compliance with purchasing policies and procedures. Design and implement cost effective strategies related to purchasing in the organization. Review and analyze purchase requisitions and evaluate methods for processing improvements. Monitor change orders and recommend improvements in processing. Investigate and develop sources of supplies. Issue bid requests and prepare bid specifications, formal bid invitations, or requests for proposals.

Receive and analyze bids, quotes, and proposals to select and award vendors. Administer contracts for requisitioned commodities.
