This position is accountable for Contract Manager duties for Services, Equipment Supply, and materials. The role ensures contract compliance with Supply Chain policy and manages contract provisions and change orders with stakeholders to ensure successful execution of contract requirements and options.
Key responsibilities- Actively manage the execution of key strategic contracts and major Engineering Procurement & Construction (EPC) contracts
- Serve as the commercial single point of contact between the Business Unit and contractors during contract execution
- Manage commercial contract governance, contractor performance tracking and reporting
- Coordinate resolution for contractor commercial-related disputes by engaging Risk Management, Legal, Supply Chain leadership and Senior BU leadership
- Support contractor relationship management and leadership in expediting parts and services from contractors
- Lead problem resolution efforts with contractors through direct hands-on negotiations and troubleshooting
- Ensure delivery of critical equipment and services to meet schedule requirements
- Conduct off-site visits to contractor fabrication and equipment shops as needed to ensure proper schedule focus on major equipment
- Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years of experience preferred but not required
- Experience working with EPCs preferred
- Knowledge of Project Management, Plant Maintenance, or Engineering concepts
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate and influence internal business partner senior management, suppliers, and other stakeholders utilizing commercial acumen
- Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills
- Knowledge with MAXIMO or similar purchasing software
- Familiarity with relevant power industry equipment usage (i.e., turbines, generators, boilers, motor control centers, breakers, valves, etc.)
Location:
CLT, Raleigh or other NC/SC office with mobilization to Anderson County, SC within 6-9 months from start date.
