CHB Operations Associate
Responsible for coordinating and executing shipments to ensure service levels of clients are met on a daily basis. Supports a small group of client accounts by expediting their shipments from start to finish, developing familiarity with their import programs and products, and coordinating file processing with team members and other company work groups.
Key Responsibilities- Own all CHB operations services for assigned customers, including providing customer service and assisting with questions and requests for information.
- Process Customs entries and PGA for clearance of goods, ensuring full compliance with all Customs and PGA regulations.
- Open entry files and process entries according to outlined KPI.
- Coordinate clearance of shipments with forwarders, steamship lines, and airlines to ensure shipments are released timely.
- Complete customer billing and/or other required reports.
- Complete tracking and tracing for inbound shipments.
- Coordinate operations for shipments from airline, ocean piers, and CFS to customer/consignee destination.
- Ensure required documentation/entry package is uploaded into the operating system.
- Maintain customer SOPs and update them as needed.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the industry, with 6–12 months in CHB operations.
- Cargo Wise experience highly desired.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate confidently.
- Persistent drive to close issues.
- Well organized and detail oriented, especially when working under pressure.
- Works well with others in the business unit to achieve results and foster teamwork.
- Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required, or equivalent work experience.
- Customs House Brokerage License preferred but not required.
- Salary: $56,000 – $60,000 (anticipated starting salary; may adjust).
