Supply Chain Specialist Development Program Associate

Join Corning Incorporated's Supply Chain Development Program to gain experience through three 8-month job rotations in Integrated Planning, Logistics, and Procurement. The program is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of best practices and processes in Supply Chain Management, preparing participants for future roles within Corning's Supply Chain organization.

Key responsibilities include working on Corporate Supply Chain initiatives including strategic sourcing, transportation and logistics, and integrated planning.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the assured supply of materials, equipment, and services at competitive costs while minimizing inventories and optimizing materials utilization.
  • Forecasting analysis and tracking
  • Develop sourcing strategies, evaluate supply chain options, and manage supplier relationships.
  • Manage supplier performance and resolve any issues that arise.
  • Monitor supplier deliveries to reduce the risk of stockouts.
  • Develop short term production schedules aligning with demand forecasts and inventory policies
  • Track overall key performance indicators (KPIs) and present findings to senior management
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings within the supply chain
  • Other procurement, logistics, and planning activities as needed not otherwise identified

Required

Education:

Bachelor degree required in Supply Chain or Industrial Engineering.

Required Years and Area of

Experience:

1-3 years related education / business / project management or technical experience. Experience working in a matrix environment or on a cross-functional team.

Hours of work/work schedule/flex-time:
Typical workweek of 40+ hours, Monday to Friday.

This position does not support immigration sponsorship. The range for this position is $63,000.00 - $86,625.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
