Senior Director of Supply Chain

• Supply Chain experience in the diagnostic imaging space (CT, Cath Lab and Ultrasound equipment)
• Located or willing to relocate to the Charlotte area, or willing to travel

A growing medical equipment services organization is seeking a Director of Supply Chain to lead strategy and execution across procurement, sourcing, inventory planning, and supplier management. This leader will ensure the availability of equipment, parts, and services needed to support customer demand while improving inventory efficiency, cost, supplier performance, and continuity of supply.

The Director will work closely with Sales, Operations, Service, and Finance to translate demand forecasts and business priorities into practical sourcing and inventory strategies. The role combines strategic leadership with hands‑on execution in a fast‑moving, growth‑oriented environment.

• Lead and develop the buying team responsible for procuring medical equipment and parts to fulfill sales orders and maintain appropriate inventory levels across ultrasound and diagnostic imaging categories.
• Partner with Sales and Operations to refine demand forecasts and secure the equipment and parts required to support anticipated sales and service consumption.
• Lead key elements of the sales, inventory, and operations planning process, including inventory targets, stocking policies, asset planning, item‑level sourcing strategies, and cross‑functional planning meetings.
• Identify supply chain risks, capacity gaps, and sourcing constraints and drive timely cross‑functional solutions.
• Pursue opportunistic equipment sourcing at attractive pricing through hospitals, auctions, brokers, trade desks, and other secondary‑market channels.
• Time procurement activities to support sales flow, service demand, and customer commitments while minimizing sourcing‑related order delays.
• Manage supplier performance across pricing, quality, availability, on‑time delivery, and service; identify and develop new sources of supply across material categories.
• Improve supply chain processes, capabilities, reporting, and organizational structure as the business continues to grow.
• Oversee facility‑level inventory controls through the inventory team, including material movements, cycle counting, inventory accuracy, and adherence to established procedures.
• Serve as an active cross‑functional partner to Sales, Service, Operations, Finance, and senior leadership, balancing service levels, working capital, cost, and supply continuity.
• Maintain compliance with applicable quality requirements, company policies, and safe work practices.

• 7 or more years of progressive experience in supply chain, procurement, sourcing, inventory management, or a closely related discipline.
• Experience in medical equipment, medical devices, healthcare technology, or another service‑intensive equipment environment strongly preferred.
• Direct purchasing or procurement experience involving ultrasound, diagnostic imaging systems, capital equipment, service parts
• Demonstrated success leading buyers, procurement professionals, inventory personnel, or other supply chain team members.
• Experience applying established supply chain practices in an entrepreneurial, hands‑on, and rapidly changing organization.
• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, operations, engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience will be considered.

• Supply chain leadership: Strong knowledge of procurement, strategic sourcing, inventory planning, supplier management, and risk mitigation. Ability to translate business requirements and forecasts into effective sourcing and stocking strategies.
• Analytics and systems: Strong analytical skills and experience with ERP systems and supply chain data. Advanced Excel capability and the ability to evaluate demand, inventory, supplier, pricing, and purchasing information.
• Business judgment: Ability to evaluate trade‑offs involving inventory investment, service levels, pricing, cost, and continuity of supply and convert analysis into practical action.
• Communication and influence: Clear written and verbal communication, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to build productive supplier and internal relationships at all organizational levels.
• Execution: Demonstrated initiative, sound judgement, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and resolve complex problems in a fast‑paced, hands‑on environment.
