We are seeking a detail-oriented Export Coordinator to join our freight forwarding team. This position will coordinate international export shipments from booking through departure while ensuring accurate documentation, timely communication, and excellent customer service.
Responsibilities- Coordinate air and/or ocean export shipments from booking to departure.
- Prepare and review export documentation, including bills of lading and AES/EEI filings.
- Communicate with customers, carriers, truckers, customs brokers, and overseas agents.
- Monitor shipment schedules, cutoffs, and cargo movement.
- Resolve shipment issues and proactively communicate delays or changes.
- Ensure accurate rates, charges, and shipment records.
- 3+ years of freight forwarding experience required.
- Export experience strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of international shipping, Incoterms, and export documentation.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Cargo Wise
