Procurement Specialist

Our client, a global energy technology and industrial manufacturing leader, is seeking a Procurement Specialist to join their team. As a Procurement Specialist , you will be part of the Supply Chain & Procurement organization supporting Commodity Management, Strategic Sourcing, Supplier Management, and Cross-Functional Business Teams. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication skills and problem-solving abilities which will align successfully in the organization.

Procurement Specialist

Charlotte, NC (Hybrid - Minimum 3 Days Per Week Onsite)

$40-46 /hr

• Lead Commodity Circle activities and manage assigned commodities while developing sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Execute strategic procurement activities including supplier negotiations, contract awards, sourcing strategies, quarterly reviews, and supplier relationship management.
• Drive cost savings initiatives, monitor procurement KPIs, and improve supplier performance through continuous improvement activities.
• Identify and mitigate procurement, supplier, financial, and supply chain risks while maintaining a competitive supply base.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to support supplier qualification, development, selection, evaluation, and strategic procurement initiatives.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• 6-12 years of experience in Supply Chain, Purchasing, Sourcing, Engineering, or related functions within machinery or manufacturing industries.
• Experience with commodity management, strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, long-term contracts, and contract management.
• Proficiency with SAP, procurement systems, Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical, communication, stakeholder management, risk management, and problem-solving skills in a global matrixed environment.
