WHO WE ARE LOOKING FORSag is seeking a technically sharp, detail-obsessed Service Parts Catalog Specialist who thrives in a structured workflow and takes pride in data accuracy. You are someone who understands automotive systems from the ground up and knows that a part doesn't make it to a customer's hands until the data behind it is right. You receive handoffs from service parts engineering and make them count — populating attributes precisely, applying Auto Care PIES naming standards autonomously, and controlling exactly when parts enter or exit the online catalog.
You are the last line of quality before a part goes live, and you take that responsibility seriously.
Parts Attribution & PIM System Management
- Receive service part handoffs from engineering and execute final attribution and implementation.
- Audit part records for completeness and accuracy against attribution standards before any catalog action is taken.
- Identify and resolve data gaps, conflicts, or outdated attribute information in existing records.
- Apply Auto Care Association PIES standards to all service part records independently, including all required segment data elements such as Part Number, BrandAAIAID, Hazardous Material Code , and Quantity Per Application .
- Make autonomous naming convention decisions for incoming parts based on category, function, and OEM specification — in full alignment with PIES requirements.
- Maintain and evolve internal naming convention documentation; partner with e-commerce teams to balance PIES compliance with catalog discoverability.
- Stay current with Auto Care Association standards updates and implement changes to internal workflows proactively.
- Serve as the gatekeeper controlling when service parts are published to or suppressed from the online catalog, evaluating each part against:
Stock disposition and inventory availability. - Obsolescence status and supersession chains.
- Interchangeability and cross-reference validity.
- Attribute completeness thresholds.
- Execute formal catalog part release, update, and removal workflows with correct timing and a complete audit trail.
- Manage obsolete, superseded, and interchangeable part records to ensure customers are always directed to the correct service solution.
- Monitor catalog health metrics — listing completeness, suppression rates, time-to-publish — and report status on a defined cadence.
- A degree in Automotive Technology, Business, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred, but not required. Equivalent technical training or relevant experience will also be considered.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in automotive parts data management, catalog operations, or a closely related field within an OEM, Tier 1 supplier, or large distributor environment.
- Deep, working knowledge of automotive systems and components across a broad range of platforms — powertrain, chassis, electrical, HVAC, body, and accessory systems — sufficient to make parts identification and naming decisions without engineering oversight.
- Direct experience with Auto Care Association PIES standards; ability to independently interpret and apply standard requirements, including all required data segment elements.
- Demonstrated hands‑on experience in a PIM system (Akeneo, Salsify, Informatica, Stibo STEP, or comparable…
