DOUBLE TREE CHARLOTTE AIRPORT is seeking a PM (Preventative Maintenance) Technician to join the team. We offer great benefits and competitive wages.

A Preventative Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing tasks from the PM checklist for each guest room and public space. Tasks may include carpet repair and cleaning, painting, furniture conditioning, lighting, appliance repair, HVAC cleaning, HVAC filter change, caulking, and other general maintenance. The technician will conduct accurate reporting within Quore and provide an inventory of items needed to the Chief Engineer and General Manager.

• Delivers the brand promise and provides exceptional guest service at all times.
• Provides excellent service to internal customers as appropriate.
• Assists in developing and implementing plans to maintain property, equipment, grounds and other assets in a safe and acceptable state of repair.
• Actively participates in energy conservation programs per PAH’s standards.
• Ensures compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
• Assists with the administration of all vendor contracts controlled by the Engineering Department hotel standards.
• Assists as necessary with special projects and renovations.
• Repairs and programs hotel electronic lock system.
• Assists in scheduling preventive maintenance tasks.

• High school diploma; technical/vocational school preferred.
• Hotel experience preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication skills, professional presentation, ability to work in a team atmosphere and to make independent decisions.
• General knowledge of finishing skills such as furniture touch‑up, painting, caulking, carpet/flooring repair, appliance repair, HVAC filter service and cleaning.

• Flexible long hours sometimes required.
• Heavy work:
  Exertion in excess of 100 pounds occasionally, and often 50 pounds frequently and/or 20 pounds constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
