Overview
Maintenance Porter - Driving. SP+, a Metropolis company, is an artificial intelligence company for the real world. We use computer vision to enable checkout-free parking experiences. Responsibilities- Perform all maintenance and cleaning tasks noted in the checklists and as directed by the facility manager/supervisor to ensure dirt, dust, litter and debris are removed from all areas of the facility using appropriate tools.
- Walk the garage daily to note and correct any maintenance problems.
- Sweep and pick up around entrances/exits to the garage and stairwells; clean surface areas such as rails on all levels, the booth, the office and restrooms.
- Empty all trashcans in the garage, the booth and the office.
- Paint areas of the facility as directed to maintain and improve appearance of surfaces such as poles, signs, doors, walls, curbs, islands, gates, etc.
- Replace burned out bulbs.
- Apply oil absorbent to oil spills.
- Submit requests for repairs or maintenance.
- Check conditions of safety items, such as gate arms, to ensure clearance bars are secure.
- Check ticket spitters and gates daily for proper operation, ticket supply, time accuracy and general appearance.
- Provide ticket and record gate counters to the Manager.
- Keep an inventory of janitorial supplies.
- Maintain a garage/lot sweep sheet.
- Operate automatic sweepers, scrubbers and outdoor equipment as applicable.
- Shovel, plow or blow snow from entrance/exit ramps and designated areas using appropriate equipment.
- Report any violations of policy, safety hazards or unusual occurrences to the Facility Manager in a timely manner.
- Practice customer service guidelines to ensure successful customer interactions.
- Assist customers within the facility or as directed by the Facility Manager/Supervisor.
- Resolve customer complaints independently or with supervisor aid.
- Be familiar with all aspects of the operation and cover other duties including cashier/attendant as needed.
- Maintain a neat and clean appearance in uniform before and during shifts.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Education/Experience: High School Diploma or combination of experience and education. May require facility maintenance, electrical and/or painting experience depending on assignment.
- License: Valid state-issued driver's license with current address and acceptable driving record.
- Availability: Special shift requirements may apply; 3rd shift and/or weekends may be required depending on location.

- Written Communication: Reads and writes clearly; interprets written information.
- Customer Service: Positive attitude; responds to service requests.
- Adaptability: Adapts to changes in the work environment and handles delays or unexpected events.

- Physical Demands: Regularly uses hands; stands/walks for long periods; lifts up to 50 pounds; ability to work in varying weather; vision requirements specified.
