Our work is grounded in the belief that transformation happens through relationships, and we intentionally build trusting relationships with neighbors, partners, and one another. We cultivate opportunities that expand access, remove barriers, and support families as they pursue their goals.

As a staff team, we care for one another with compassion, respect, and shared responsibility, while encouraging growth through learning, accountability, and continuous improvement. We persevere together with resilience and hope, remaining committed to our mission and community even when the work is complex or challenging.

Role Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled General Maintenance Worker to perform essential upkeep and repair tasks for our commercial and residential properties. The ideal candidate will be a versatile and self‑motivated problem‑solver with solid technical knowledge and the ability to perform minor repairs along with a keen eye for detail. This role requires physical stamina and dexterity to handle a wide variety of tasks and ensure our properties remain safe, functional, and well‑maintained.

Freedom Communities also maintains about 30 residential rental homes including some over 50 years old and some brand new. Constant minor repairs are required including items such as door repairs, disposals, dryer vents, lights, painting, etc.

In addition to performing minor repairs, there will be times when third party assistance is needed from plumbers, electricians, HVAC etc. Those times will require coordination and assistance with scheduling and access to the property in need.
