Freight Project Manager Job Type: Full-Time;Hybrid Responsibilities
- Enters appropriate daily billing information into the computer, generates and reviews billing reports, and send invoices biweekly.
- Interfaces directly with clients to resolve problems via phone, email, and in-person.
- Maintains ongoing contact with sales staff and clients to receive feedback regarding all aspects of workflow such as shipment dates, special needs, product updates, feasible Improvements, and problems.
- Maintains daily communication with clients and vendors.
- Responsible for providing excellent customer service including tracking, tracing, vendor management, and proactive problem solving.
- Exhibits significant independent action while performing general duties of the position.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree (B.
A.) from four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience. - Prior project management experience preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Knowledge of word processing software, spreadsheet software, and internet software.
