SUMMARY

This role requires a working leader who is comfortable on the warehouse floor, supervising employees, ensuring efficient and accurate receiving, shipping, and inventory. The ideal candidate leads by example, supports the team daily, and helps maintain high standards for productivity, accuracy, and safety.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Daily Operations & Supervision
  • Supervise day‑to‑day warehouse operations
  • Assign daily work and adjust staffing as needed
  • Lead, train, and coach warehouse associates. Provide disciplinary action when necessary
  • Attract, retain and develop a collaborative and cohesive team.
  • Responsible for performance appraisals, timecard approval, and time off request approval for all warehouse associates
  • Maintain a strong on‑floor presence; assist with receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and staging as needed
  • Hold regular meetings with warehouse associates
  • Ensure standard operating procedures (SOPs) are current and followed consistently. Revise work instructions and procedures when necessary
  • Respond to customer feedback and warehouse related corrective actions within the company quality system
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Inventory & Accuracy
  • Support inventory control including receiving accuracy, cycle counts, and physical inventories
  • Monitor all cycle counts and after thorough analysis, write up the appropriate adjustment form for approval.
  • Supervise annual inventory including all: preliminary work, actual counting/recounting, and report results to management.
  • Ensure proper storage, labeling, and material handling
Safety & Compliance
  • Enforce safety rules and company policies
  • Conduct safety talks and routine inspections
  • Ensure proper functioning of all warehouse tools and equipment
  • Perform safe operation of all equipment, including Powered Industrial Truck operations (PITO), hand tools, and other equipment in the operation
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards
Communication & Coordination
  • Communicate operational issues, staffing needs, and performance updates to management
  • Coordinate with transportation, customer service, and purchasing teams
Productivity, KPIs & Performance
  • Monitor daily productivity, order accuracy, and labor efficiency
  • Track and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as:
    • Order accuracy
    • On‑time shipping
    • Productivity and labor efficiency
    • Inventory accuracy
    • Safety metrics
  • Communicate KPI expectations to the team and hold associates accountable
  • Identify performance gaps and assist with corrective actions and coaching
  • Recommend process improvements to improve KPI results

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
  • Must have knowledge of inventory control and warehouse systems (ERP/WMS)
  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft D365, especially Outlook and Excel
  • 4–6 years of warehouse or distribution experience, including supervisory responsibility
  • Strong hands‑on leadership style
  • Ability to work flexible hours based on operational needs
  • Ability to operate forklifts and warehouse equipment
  • Forklift certification to train and certify all warehouse associates
  • Experience in fast‑paced or high‑volume warehouse environments with the ability to multitask.
