Operations Manager, General Management
Our Sr. Operations Managers are responsible for all budgetary, people development, and operations objectives, managing and leading a team of Operations and Area Managers at the fulfillment center.
Responsibilities- Drive creation of quality initiatives, process change initiatives, and other Lean initiatives to enable the functional area and ultimately the FC to meet and exceed the business plan.
- Ensure overall safety, quality, performance, and customer experience of either inbound or outbound operations.
- Set and clarify requirements and expectations for Operations and Area Managers; measure performance, provide feedback, and hold Ops Managers accountable for their performance and the performance of their departments.
- Leverage Operations and Area Managers by sourcing and nurturing ideas, and roll them into improvement plans for the functional area.
- Take proactive steps to ensure best practices are shared across all departments, shifts, and among the network.
- Work closely with support staff (HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety, IT and other Sr. Operations Managers) to build and secure support and resources for projects and initiatives in their area, while providing needed support for other staff initiatives.
- Lift and move totes up to 49 pounds each.
- Regular bending, lifting, stretching and reaching both below the waist and above the head.
- Walking in the FC and around area with great frequency; facilities are over a quarter mile in length.
- Continual standing and/or walking an average of 5 miles daily.
- Ability to work in construction/distribution environments that may be noisy, unlit, unheated, or not air‑conditioned.
- Able to access all areas of building, including ascending and descending ladders, stairs, and gangways safely and without limitation.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- 6+ years of performance metrics, process improvement, or lean technique experience.
- Experience with the staffing life cycle, including interviewing, hiring, performance management, and terminations.
- 7+ years of direct management experience, including a salaried workforce, in a manufacturing, production, or distribution environment.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, mechanical, operations, supply chain, business administration, or equivalent STEM field, or 7+ years of managing large complex facilities organizations experience.
- Ability to handle changing priorities and use good judgment in stressful situations.
- Interest in long‑term career development through assignments in multiple FCs across the nation.

The base salary range for this position is USD – annually
. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
