** THE ROLE**:
We are seeking a
** Vertical Market Director
** focusing on the
** Food and Beverage
** industry here at
** Xylem**. Working within the
** Water Solutions and Services
** segment of Xylem (WSS), you will develop, lead, and direct commercial initiatives aimed at increasing penetration for our water and wastewater treatment solutions within the Food and Beverage vertical market. Our ideal candidate will allow specific targeted sales applications for selling Xylem’s products and services. As a global leader in water and wastewater solutions, a successful candidate will have a strong understanding and knowledge of Xylem’s solutions and services, with previous experience in the water industry.

They will provide leadership and vertical market expertise to obtain maximum sales revenues and attainment of corporate objectives.

An ideal candidate will operate with a great deal of autonomy, with responsibility to make decisions that have significant impact on business results and strategy. They will be recognized as a SME in Xylem and demonstrate mastery of solution and value selling, as well as work within and lead a team of business developers. A keen knowledge of emerging trends in the Food and Beverage vertical, and contribution to solution offerings are key indicators of a successful candidate.
** CORE RESPONSIBILITES**:
* Key Accounts  + Focus on and identify key accounts based on business and market  + Cultivate positive and lasting relationships with key account holders  + Manage critical accounts with responsibility for revenue, profit, and Voice of Customer (VOC)  + Resolve complex commercial issues using advanced problem-solving skills.
* Market Analysis  + Promote products  + Conduct opportunity size analysis  + Understand trends  + Work closely with the product team  + Be an ambassador/SME for the Food and Beverage vertical market within WSS (Water Solutions and Services)
* Strategic Leadership  + Define and execute Xylem’s overall approach to the Food & Beverage market  + Drive growth through differentiated product and service offerings.  + Direct a team of Vertical Market Leads and Developers
* Performance & Growth  + Increase share of wallet per customer within the vertical.  + Own the “virtual P&L” for the vertical, including KPI accountability
* North American Focus, International Responsibility  + Operate with a focus on the North American market, while identifying potential international opportunities and promoting appropriately  + Carry the offer for ADI forward  + Interface and collaborate with international colleagues
** KEY COMPETENCIES**:
* Responsible for Xylem's overall approach to the market and will drive growth by carefully and selectively pursuing actions to differentiate Xylem's product and service offers to the market.
