What you will be doing:

The Director of Data Optimization will have direct responsibility for the Data Operations and Technology Team (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). serves the Women and Infant service line and collaborative. The position acts as the orchestrator of the data operations team and works collaboratively with a team of highly qualified Advisory consultants to deliver performance improvement. The role of Director is to provide leadership by driving engagement results, managing client relationships and engagement resources, overseeing development of client deliverables and solutions, implementation, risk and issue management, project logistics and economics, and supporting business development opportunities.

The director will execute, oversee data analyses, initiate interpretations and conclusions, and oversee verbal and graphic presentations while supervising, mentoring, and developing staff. The position will also perform quality assurance on project deliverables, participate in sales and business development activities, and collaborate with and develop strong client relationships across all levels of the client organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute, direct and oversee data analyses, initiate interpretations and conclusions, and oversee verbal and graphic presentations using professionally sound methods; perform quality assurance on project deliverables.
  • Assist in determining client needs by leading client interviews and utilizing various tools and analytical methods. Summarize findings and develop recommendations for client review.
  • Effectively execute project plans in accordance with engagement statements of work to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Guide team in developing presentations and deliverables that communicate strategy and outcomes.
  • Provide input and oversight of member‑facing tools that support the collaborative’s success.
  • Ensure appropriate national de‑identified datasets are accessible to the team and support project needs.
  • Generate billings revenue by leading engagements in project delivery.
  • Guide and lead project management activities for assigned projects.
  • Manage budget and expenses for projects and ensure profitability.
  • Manage staff, provide mentoring and education.
  • Participate in risk and issue identification and mitigation with project leadership.
  • Identify opportunities for add‑on sales and communicate with engagement leadership to close opportunities.
  • Actively listen for market opportunities on current engagements and networks, and communicate potential leads.
  • Contribute to sales presentation deliverables using prescribed formats and technology; seek opportunities to participate.
  • Identify opportunities to improve profitability.
  • Complete all required training annually and aid in developing training materials.
Required Qualifications
  • Work Experience:

    7 or more years of applicable experience.
  • Education:

    Bachelor’s degree (required).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Data and analytic skills involving interpreting data, identifying trends, patterns and insights that inform strategic decision‑making.
  • Proficient in SQL, Tableau, and/or Power BI to extract and present actionable insights from complex clinical datasets.
  • Coordinate and deliver effective verbal and written presentations to client audiences.
  • Ability to oversee and quality‑assure analytics, mentor others in delivery of client deliverables.
  • Ability to relate to clients and team members collaboratively.
  • Ability to lead work groups to successful outcomes.
  • Project management skills to stay on schedule and on budget.
  • Work in fast‑paced, deadline‑oriented matrix environments; knowledge of hospital market issues.
  • Self‑motivated problem solver, logical and systematic approach, research to resolve issues decisively.
  • Outstanding customer service and communication skills at all personnel levels.
  • Demonstrated depth of knowledge in a specific area of expertise (Subject Matter Expert).
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in healthcare, preferably health systems EHR data (Epic, Cerner, etc.) or hospital billing systems; finance, operations, strategic planning, or decision support analytics.
