Cost Estimator

Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Cost Estimator to prepare accurate cost estimates for internal dunnage and packaging components used in customer shipments. The role works closely with design, fabrication, customer service, and external vendors to translate drawings and specifications into precise, timely quotes. This is an ideal position for candidates with experience in packaging, engineering, construction estimating, or material costing who enjoy structured work, attention to detail, and cross‑functional collaboration.

$26 per hour

• 2–5 years of experience in estimating, packaging design, or manufacturing/construction estimating.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Packaging Science or Engineering preferred but not required.
• Basic CAD experience.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with Excel‑based costing tools.
• Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a collaborative mindset.

• Must be a full‑time employee (30+ weekly hours / +130 hours per month) to be eligible.
• Medical plan offered is BCBSNC Blue Options PPO.
• Premiums will be pre‑taxed.
• Sherpa pays a portion of the employee‑only premium for medical.
• 90‑day waiting period from date of hire.
• Medical, Dental, and Vision plans.
