Primary Function:

The General Laborer position is an entry-level position within the Qualla Enterprises, LLC organization and is established to aid with general labor duties at properties owned by the Qualla Enterprises organization. This position will take on a variety of duties including but not limited to: packaging, inventory management, agricultural labor, general maintenance of the internal/external properties, lawncare maintenance, custodial duties, waste disposal, and light construction as needed.

Reports to: Production Manager

Pay Grade/FLSA Status
: H6/Non-exempt

Qualifications:

• Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Assist cultivation team with basic tasks as needed, including but not limited to: plant management, watering, fertigation, harvesting, curing.
• Label and package products as directed.
• Clean and maintain work areas as needed.
• Weigh and portion products for packaging.
• Assist with audits of inventory stock as needed.
• Other job duties as assigned.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be detail oriented with a willingness to learn and adapt.
• Must have a neat appearance with good personal hygiene.
• Ability to work effectively both as part of a team and individually without close supervision.
• Ability to work in a demanding, fast-paced environment, including flexible and/or extended hours as needed.
• Strong work ethic.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to kneel, stoop, bend, grasp, reach, twist.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to tolerate varying temperatures and working conditions as dictated by an agricultural environment.
• Must be able to operate machinery including but not limited to: riding mowers, push mowers, weed-eaters, leaf blowers.
