Position Overview

A Cycle Count Specialist maintains inventory accuracy by performing regular physical counts of stock, reconciling discrepancies, and verifying location/quantity data within Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or ERP software. They are responsible for auditing inventory, investigating root causes of discrepancies, generating reports, and improving warehouse efficiency, generally requiring strong attention to detail and data analysis skills.

Key Responsibilities & Duties
  • Physical Counting: Conducting daily or scheduled physical counts of inventory items.
  • Discrepancy Investigation: Researching and resolving discrepancies between physical counts and system records.
  • Data Accuracy: Updating and maintaining accurate inventory records in ERP/WMS systems.
  • Reporting: Generating, reviewing, and analyzing cycle count reports to identify trends.
  • Operational Support: Assisting with material flow, organizing warehouse locations, and supporting inventory control processes.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience: Previous experience in inventory control or warehouse operations.
  • Technical

    Skills:

    Proficiency with WMS, RFID, barcode scanners, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Attention to Detail: High accuracy in counting, recording data, and identifying discrepancies.
  • Analytical

    Skills:

    Ability to investigate root causes of inventory issues.
  • Communication: Effective coordination with warehouse, procurement, and logistics teams.
