Manufacturing Engineer, Quality Engineering
This role is an experienced engineering and product-line support position responsible for leading plater process improvements and providing technical support. The position focuses on driving equipment performance in throughput, quality, efficiency, and uptime. The individual will collect and analyze downtime data, recommend upgrades and process changes, and support ongoing operational improvements. This role reports to the Plant Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Collect and analyze downtime data to improve plater uptime and performance
- Recommend equipment upgrades and process improvements based on data findings
- Provide technical guidance to production teams by recommending process parameters for maximum throughput
- Coordinate and facilitate activities associated with process improvement initiatives
- Develop and maintain operating procedures for plater operators
- Ensure availability and proper management of critical spare parts inventory
- Maintain and improve the electrowinning process through accurate logging of process times and bath analysis
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Provide support to equipment and personnel as needed
- Promote and maintain a strong team-oriented work environment
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on improving plating processes
- Prior experience in electroplating
- Experience working in a production or manufacturing environment
- Background in project management
- Effective time-management and multitasking skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Demonstrated initiative, urgency, and motivation when implementing improvements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience managing or leading a team

The role involves regular exposure to moving mechanical equipment, wet environments, high heat, fumes, airborne particles, and hazardous chemicals, as well as occasional outdoor conditions.
Physical DemandsThe role requires frequent movement throughout the facility, including on uneven surfaces, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
