2nd Shift Maintenance Technician
- Charlotte, NC

Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines and equipment.

Shift Times

1st: 5:00am-3:30pm, Monday-Friday
2nd: 4:00pm-2:00am, Monday-Friday

* training will be on 1st shift

Essential Job Functions

Observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble.

Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.

Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.

Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.

Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.

Repairs or replaces defective parts.

Installs special functional and structural parts in devices.

Lubricates and cleans parts.

Starts devices to test their performance.

Sets up and operates drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.

Initiates purchase order for parts and machines.

Repairs electrical equipment.

Perform other duties as required by management.

Qualifications and Requirements Required

High school education or equivalent.
Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. over shoulder height frequently.
Must have vision correctable to at least 20/50 in one eye.
Must be able to read numbers, letters, and a dial face clock.
Must be able to speak and understand enough English to follow simple instructions.

Preferred

Two or more years experience in manufacturing.

Proficiency and use of Software, Equipment, Machines, Tools, Electronic Device necessary for job

Drill press, grinder, pneumatic tools, production machines, electronic equipment.
