Maintenance Supervisor

• Directs and coordinates the job functions of Maintenance Technicians
• Ensure the safety of all operations and employees during shift
• Complete all paperwork and/or electronic updates as required
• Initiates personnel actions such as promotions, transfers, discharges, or disciplinary measures
• Responsible for training of all employees in department
• Regular use of heavy industrial shop tools and equipment
• Professional interaction with internal and external customers
• Project Management and bid securement

• Supervise maintenance duties in a safe manner.

• Initiates personnel actions such as promotions, transfers, discharges, or disciplinary measures
• Responsible for training of all employees in department
• Regular use of heavy industrial shop tools and equipment
• Professional interaction with internal and external customers
• Project Management and bid securement

• Must maintain an excellent safety and attendance record
• Ability to operate a fork lift
• Ability to understand and execute process descriptions applicable to the job
• Ability to perform physical requirements of the job (prolonged physical exertions, including standing, lifting, pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, kneeling, climbing and working in awkward positions and light areas).
• Ability to work in all weather conditions.
• Familiarity with using a computer
• Must be able to work in confined, tight spaces
• Must possess good working knowledge with all levels of welding and cutting equipment required to perform industrial maintenance, welding and fabrication.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 100 pounds and frequently lift and/or move a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Use of supplied or filtered air (respirator) for an extended period of time may be required
• Understand the impact of maintenance on customer service and possess ability to work cooperatively with other departments in meeting customer needs
• Working knowledge of D.O.T. and OSHA regulations
• Operational needs require occasional flexible hours and on-call
• Minimum High School diploma required
