Job SummaryThe Plant Manager will oversee all aspects of plant operations, including safety, production, quality, labor, and cost management. This role provides hands‑on leadership, driving operational efficiency and continuous improvement while ensuring alignment with company objectives and standards. The Plant Manager will lead, develop, and mentor the site leadership team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and high performance in a manufacturing environment.
Asa Plant Manager, You Will
- Plan and direct production activities, ensuring alignment with operational efficiency and cost objectives.
- Coordinate production with scheduling, procurement, maintenance, and quality to maximize personnel, machine, and equipment utilization.
- Review and analyze production reports (OEE, downtime, etc.) to identify and resolve production or operational issues.
- Prepare and submit reports as required.
- Partner with the Supply Chain Director to develop and implement standard operating procedures to improve product quality and address operational challenges.
- Adjust production schedules and priorities in response to equipment failures or operational issues.
- Lead and manage the plant supervision team to ensure efficient operations.
- Oversee maintenance and upkeep of presses and other machinery.
- Foster a strong partnership with plant hourly staff to enhance overall production performance.
- Participate in the Health and Safety Committee and promote safety initiatives.
- Implement and enforce safety and environmental programs for the department.
- Collaborate with Human Resources on hiring, onboarding, and training requirements.
- Achieve production KPIs and drive continuous improvement across all teams.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Maintain a deliberate focus on Safety, Quality, Continuous Improvement, and Customer Satisfaction.
- Adhere to all IFS Pac Secure policies, including product safety, food safety, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Previous management experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the folding carton industry.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing practices and processes.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Skilled at organizing and assigning tasks to employees effectively.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast‑paced environment.
- Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively in a team setting.
- Adaptable, enthusiastic about change, and committed to achieving corporate goals and objectives.
