Guided Search Partners is an Executive Search firm built on Trust, Transparency, Specialization, and Long-term Relationships. We connect high-performing professionals with organizations that value people, performance, and growth—helping leaders find roles where they can make an impact and build meaningful careers.

About the Opportunity

We’re partnering with an established plastics manufacturer with deep roots, strong tenure, and a growing operation in Charlotte. This is a night shift Process Technician role supporting a 24/7 injection molding facility with 16 large-tonnage presses producing waste carts, recycling carts, and totes. This opportunity is a strong fit for someone who enjoys hands‑on technical work and takes pride in keeping molding processes running efficiently.

The role offers the chance to take ownership of setups, adjustments, troubleshooting, and process performance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

What You’ll Do

Set up, start up, and adjust injection molding machines for maximum output and efficiency. Support mold changes, program robotic material handlers, and troubleshoot process‑related issues to reduce downtime, improve cycle times, and minimize scrap. You’ll also set up auxiliary equipment, assist with in‑process and finished product inspection, support maintenance as needed, and help keep the work area clean, safe, and organized.

Who

You Are

You are a hands‑on process technician who knows how to stay focused in a fast‑moving production environment. You enjoy solving problems, making adjustments, and finding ways to improve performance on the floor. You work with urgency, communicate well, and take pride in the details that keep production running smoothly. This role is a great fit for someone who wants technical ownership and enjoys being close to the action.

Preferred Experience & Attributes
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 3 years of related Process Technician experience.
  • Previous injection molding experience required.
  • Experience with setup, troubleshooting, and mold changes.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and technical skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret operating instructions, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Basic computer skills using Microsoft Office.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule, including 12‑hour rotating shifts and overtime.
Why This Role Matters

This role plays a direct part in keeping production efficient, consistent, and on schedule. Your work supports uptime, quality, scrap reduction, and overall process performance in a high‑volume molding environment. For the right person, this is a chance to build on strong technical skills, gain valuable large‑tonnage experience, and join a growing operation where your contribution is visible every shift.
