We are seeking a dependable Heat Seal Operator to operate dielectric heat-sealing/RF welding equipment used to manufacture convertible and vinyl tops. This is a hands‑on production role requiring strong attention to detail, accurate material alignment, consistent seam quality, and the ability to follow work orders and production instructions.
Job Responsibilities- Review daily work orders, part numbers, production instructions, and quantities.
- Set up and operate dielectric heat-sealing/RF welding equipment.
- Adjust machine settings including sealing time, pressure, power, temperature, and cycle controls.
- Position, align, and smooth materials before sealing.
- Use dies, electrodes, guides, and fixtures to create accurate seams.
- Safely operate equipment and follow all safety procedures.
- Inspect finished seams for bond strength, alignment, appearance, and defects.
- Identify issues such as weak seams, burn marks, overheating, sticking, arcing, or inconsistent seals.
- Stack and stage finished parts carefully to prevent damage.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Communicate with supervisors and team members regarding production needs and equipment or material concerns.
- Follow all quality, production, and safety standards.
- Dependable work history and strong attendance.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to read work orders, part numbers, measurements, and basic production information.
- Ability to read numbers accurately; basic English communication skills preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn machine operation and setup.
- Ability to identify quality issues, defects, and material alignment problems.
- Self-motivated with a positive, can‑do attitude.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive production tasks.
- Must follow safety procedures when operating heat-sealing/RF welding equipment.
- Must pass E-Verify.
- Heat sealing, RF welding, dielectric sealing, or vinyl welding.
- Sewing, upholstery, textile, or manufacturing equipment.
- Working with vinyl, fabric, plastic‑coated materials, or similar products.
- Production, assembly, or quality inspection experience.
- Previous experience is helpful but not required. Training will be provided for candidates with the right work ethic, attention to detail, and mechanical aptitude.
