- Set up and operate CNC lathe (DMG NLX 2500/700) using Celos control to perform machining operations according to blueprints, engineering drawings and job orders
- Select and install appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and machine accessories.
- Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Make adjustments to machine settings as necessary to maintain product specifications.
- Inspect finished products using precision measuring instruments such as bore gauges and micrometers.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with machine performance or product quality.
- Using standard processes and quality procedures including all required process check 5s processes.
- Cross train as required on other machines and/or components across all value streams.
- Support the company’s strategic goals and values.
- Must have a minimum of 3+ years of CNC lathe experience operating, setting-up, and ability to produce conforming parts according to print
- Must be capable of setting up multiple jobs per day
- Must have the ability to build tools according to set-up sheets
- Must have a working knowledge of common GD&T symbols
- Must have High School Diploma or GED
- Must have the ability to read and understand metric drawings
- Must be able to work with very little supervision
- Must be able to adapt easily to changing work environments and be able to multitask
- Must have strong attention to detail and deadline oriented
- Ability to work on a manual machine such as milling, turning, grinding is a plus
- This position requires a person to have the ability to perform while standing or walking a minimum eight (8) hours a day.
