CNC Operator

Location:

Charlotte, NC Pay: $23.00–$27.00 per hour, based on experience

Schedule:

Monday– Thursday, 3: 00 PM– 1: 30 AM

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented CNC Operator to join a precision manufacturing team in Charlotte, NC. The CNC Operator will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC machinery, producing high-quality machined components, and ensuring parts meet required specifications and tolerances. The ideal candidate has previous CNC operating experience, strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to read blueprints, and experience using precision measuring tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate CNC machines according to production specifications
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and work orders
  • Monitor machine operations to ensure parts meet quality and tolerance requirements
  • Adjust machine settings as needed to maintain accuracy and efficiency
  • Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring instruments
  • Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of CNC equipment
  • Maintain accurate production records and documentation
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area
  • Identify and troubleshoot machine or production issues
  • Work closely with team members, engineers, and supervisors to resolve production concerns
  • Maintain consistent production quality and meet established deadlines
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred
  • Previous CNC Operator or manufacturing experience required
  • Strong understanding of CNC machinery, tooling, and machining processes
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Experience using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring tools
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed
Preferred Skills
  • Experience working with precision or high-tolerance parts
  • Familiarity with CNC programming or CAM software
  • Knowledge of quality control standards
  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles
  • Technical or vocational training in machining or manufacturing
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work safely around CNC machinery and production equipment
