Salary Range: $18.00 To $22.00 Annually

The Diemaking Lead oversees the daily operations of the Die Room, ensuring the efficient production of steel rule cutting dies that meet quality, safety, and delivery requirements. This role leads a team of Diemakers, coordinates production schedules, supports employee development, and ensures compliance with company policies and OSHA safety standards. The position requires strong leadership, technical manufacturing expertise, and the ability to manage resources, equipment, and workflow effectively.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Basic metalworking experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Basic computer skills.
• Experience operating manufacturing equipment and hand tools.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift production materials as required.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.

• Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with CAD file interpretation and manipulation.
• Knowledge of ERP systems and production tracking processes.
• Experience with calibration and precision measurement tools.
• Understanding of preventive maintenance programs.
• Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience.
• OSHA and workplace safety knowledge.

• Plan, organize, and manage the daily production flow within the Die Room.
• Coordinate staffing, materials, and resources to meet production schedules.
• Supervise, coach, and develop Diemakers to improve performance and productivity.
• Conduct employee performance reviews and partner with Human Resources on training and development initiatives.
• Monitor production schedules and make adjustments to meet customer requirements.
• Ensure compliance with company safety policies, PPE requirements, and OSHA regulations.
• Train employees on safe operation of equipment and handling of materials and chemicals.
• Perform and oversee quality control activities to ensure product accuracy and customer satisfaction.
• Interpret blueprints and CAD files to support die production and assembly.
• Operate and troubleshoot manual and automated diemaking equipment as needed.
• Maintain equipment, calibration records, and preventive maintenance schedules.
• Track production issues and quality errors through ERP systems.
• Manage department overtime and workforce scheduling.
• Support cross-training efforts and assist other production departments when necessary.
• Maintain confidentiality of company and customer information.
• Communicate production, quality, and safety concerns to management promptly.

The Diemaking Lead utilizes technical skills in CAD and die design software daily to create and refine tooling solutions that meet precise manufacturing requirements. Leadership and communication skills are essential for coordinating cross-functional teams and mentoring staff to achieve production goals. Problem-solving abilities are applied regularly to troubleshoot design and manufacturing challenges, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal die performance. Project management skills help in organizing resources, managing timelines, and controlling budgets effectively.

Additionally, knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality standards supports continuous improvement initiatives and adherence to safety protocols.
