• Select production path for manufacturing parts based on their manufacturing drawings
• Work with in-house manufacturing and/or outside vendors to find the best manufacturing path
• Evaluate bids and purchase items and services at the most favorable price consistent with quality, quantity and specification requirements.
• Estimate expedited lead times for upcoming projects based on anticipated project scope and current production volume
• Coordinate with engineering regarding design adjustments to expedite component sourcing where possible
• Process order acknowledgements, maintain due dates, update purchase order pricing and communicate changes on a daily basis; expediting orders when necessary.
• Daily follow up with suppliers to gain delivery commitments on open purchase orders.
• Monitor and analyze vendor performance to ensure an on time supply chain.
• Reconcile supplier invoicing; investigate and resolve issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 - 5 years of production planning experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Able to read and understand specs and drawings to properly source parts.
• Negotiating and planning through written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills.
• Well organized, multi tasking ability, detail-oriented and thorough.
• Have a knowledge of sourcing, material planning and inventory management.
• Proficiency in MES/PLM systems (PSI Penta/Agile preferred)
• Proficiency in MS-Office applications, with an emphasis on MS Excel.
