About We Connect The DotsWe Connect The Dots is a mission-driven nonprofit dedicated to empowering students with real-world skills, mentorship, and access to technology career pathways. During this critical rebuilding phase, we are operating under a fully volunteer-supported model as we strategically strengthen our financial foundation and organizational structure.
This fellowship is designed for a highly committed individual seeking to build a long-term career in nonprofit leadership and position themselves for a future Executive Director role.
Fellowship OverviewThe Nonprofit Leadership Fellow will work directly with the Founder, receiving 1:1 coaching and executive-level mentorship while helping lead the operational and strategic rebuilding of the organization.
This is not a shadowing role. This is a working leadership position with measurable outcomes and direct accountability.
The selected fellow will:
- Support volunteer recruitment, engagement, and accountability systems
- Assist in managing community and corporate partnerships
- Contribute to fundraising strategy and donor engagement efforts
- Participate in monthly board reporting and leadership meetings
- Track and report on key performance metrics tied to rebuilding staffing capacity
The fellow will work alongside an existing team while playing a central role in strengthening structure, communication, and performance across the organization.
Commitment RequirementsThis fellowship requires:
- A minimum commitment of 25 hours per week
- A 1-year formal commitment
- Full-time availability strongly preferred and prioritized in selection
Because we are operating with limited internal staffing, we are prioritizing candidates who can demonstrate consistency, reliability, and long-term focus.
Expectations & AccountabilityAs we rebuild during this critical period, we are focused on engaging individuals who are fully committed to execution and follow-through.
Fellows are expected to:
- Carefully evaluate their availability before applying
- Attend scheduled meetings and leadership sessions consistently
- Communicate proactively and professionally
- Meet agreed-upon deliverables and performance benchmarks
Missed meetings without communication, lack of follow-through, or inconsistent engagement directly impacts our ability to serve students and partners. Individuals who do not maintain communication or fulfill commitments will be asked to step aside so that leadership continuity can be maintained.
This fellowship is structured for impact, accountability, and measurable growth — both for the organization and the fellow.
