South Charlotte Rheumatology is seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with previous rheumatology experience to join our practice. Joining our team will provide you the opportunity to work in a practice with excellent patient-centric reputation and a positive team environment, while maintaining work/life balance as our office hours are Mondays through Thursdays with Fridays off.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have:

• Completed formal postgraduate education for NP or PA from an accredited program
• License to practice in the state of North Carolina (preferred)
• Previous clinical experience in the field of Rheumatology
• Willingness to learn and adapt to different or new practice styles
• Ability to deliver compassionate care for patients with chronic rheumatic conditions
• Proficiency in EMR systems (such as Epic and Next Gen)
• Experience with medical documentation, CPT coding, and ICD-10 coding.
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients with different backgrounds and education levels
• Ability to work well in a small team environment

Duties:

Include but not limited to:

• Conduct thorough physical examinations and patient assessments to diagnose and treat rheumatic conditions.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on clinical evaluations.
• Prescribe medications, and administer injections and IV infusions as necessary.
• Perform procedures such as joint aspirations and injections.
• Document patient interactions accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Provide education and support to patients regarding their health conditions, treatment options, and preventive care.
• Collaborate with referring providers and other specialists to optimize the care plan
• Other duties as deemed appropriate

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $ per year
