South Charlotte Rheumatology is seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with previous rheumatology experience to join our practice. Joining our team will provide you the opportunity to work in a practice with excellent patient-centric reputation and a positive team environment, while maintaining work/life balance as our office hours are Mondays through Thursdays with Fridays off.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have:
- Completed formal postgraduate education for NP or PA from an accredited program
- License to practice in the state of North Carolina (preferred)
- Previous clinical experience in the field of Rheumatology
- Willingness to learn and adapt to different or new practice styles
- Ability to deliver compassionate care for patients with chronic rheumatic conditions
- Proficiency in EMR systems (such as Epic and Next Gen)
- Experience with medical documentation, CPT coding, and ICD-10 coding.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients with different backgrounds and education levels
- Ability to work well in a small team environment
Duties:
Include but not limited to:
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and patient assessments to diagnose and treat rheumatic conditions.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on clinical evaluations.
- Prescribe medications, and administer injections and IV infusions as necessary.
- Perform procedures such as joint aspirations and injections.
- Document patient interactions accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Provide education and support to patients regarding their health conditions, treatment options, and preventive care.
- Collaborate with referring providers and other specialists to optimize the care plan
- Other duties as deemed appropriate
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 - $ per year
