Key Responsibilities of the Travel OR Nurse
Assist in all phases of perioperative nursing care including preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative activities
Prepare operating rooms and ensure sterile environments are maintained
Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthetists, and surgical teams during procedures
Monitor patient status throughout surgery and respond promptly to changes
Maintain accurate and detailed documentation in accordance with hospital policies
Ensure all surgical instruments and equipment are accounted for and sterilized
Provide patient education and support regarding surgical procedures and recovery

Requirements of the Travel OR Nurse
Active North Carolina Registered Nurse (RN) license or compact state eligibility
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Minimum of 2 years' experience in an operating room or surgical nursing setting
